BrightCare is a rota and workforce management platform built for UK care homes, operated by BrightStar AI Solutions Ltd.

2. What data we collect

Name, email address, job title, employment type, contracted hours, hourly rate, shift records, wage data, holiday requests, and login credentials for care home staff and administrators who are added to the platform by their employer.

3. How we use your data

To operate the rota and payroll management platform, to send welcome emails with login credentials, to calculate and display wage information, to process shift approvals and holiday requests, and to send system notifications related to your account.

4. Legal basis

We process data under legitimate interests and contractual necessity. Care home administrators accept these terms on behalf of their organisation when signing up.

5. Data storage

All data is stored on servers located in London, United Kingdom, hosted on DigitalOcean App Platform.

6. Data retention

Staff data is retained for as long as the care home organisation maintains an active account. Upon account deletion, data is removed within 30 days.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights contact [email protected].

8. Third parties

We use Stripe for payment processing, Anthropic Claude API for AI features, and DigitalOcean for hosting. We do not sell your data to any third party.

We use essential cookies only for session management and authentication.
